TELESTIA: PATTERN CONSTRUCTION

A distance learning methodology, for interactive multimedia self-training on PATTERN CONSTRUCTION, based on a simplified method for fitted and more complex pattern blocks for both personal and industrial use by Anastasia Vouyouka.

  • Learn pattern making in a simple and accurate manner for pattern blocks of perfect fit.

  • Learn how to make personalized patterns for all types of garments and all types of figures in women’s wear, men’s wear, and children’s wear.

  • Learn how to create any style, with the help of a great number of representative garment styles and step-by-step instructions, in your personal or industrial sizes.

Minimum time required to complete method estimated to 120hrs
over 4 months.

Important institutions are using or endorsing the methodology and the training material e.g.

  • the Manchester Metropolitan University,

  • the Hochschule Albstadt-Sigmaringen in Germany and

  • SkillFast-UK – The National Training Organisation for the UK apparel and allied products industries.

The Manchester Metropolitan University, has already incorporated this training material, in their current HND (Higher National Diploma) course, giving also the option of distance learning for the particular modules (two) that the method covers.

TELESTIA: PATTERN CONSTRUCTION is divided into two modules: Each module attracts Credit Accumulation Transfer Scheme Points (CATS Points),

  • Level 1 (ie first year degree/HND) Pattern Technology 40 points
  • Level 2 (ie 2nd year degree/HND) Pattern Technology 40 points
  • A full degree is 360 CATS points each academic year represents 120 points.
  • All you need is a computer and the TELESTIA learning materials and you can learn PATTERN CONSTRUCTION on your own, at home, in your own free time at your own pace.

TELESTIA: FASHION DESIGN

A distance learning methodology, for interactive multimedia self-training on FASHION DESIGN, based on a simplified method, by Anastasia Vouyouka

  • It allows, even those who find drawing difficult to express their ideas visually.
  • Master the skills of drawing the human figure (female, male and children’s) in various poses and learn techniques for figures in motion.
  • With visual terminology, learn to recognize and distinguish between different categories and parts of a garment.
  • Learn technical drawing principles and techniques.
  • Master the basic principles of design, product development and development of apparel collections.

Minimum time required to complete method estimated to 120hrs over 4 months.
